Sarawak-born Clare Rewcastle-Brown is an investigative journalist and honoured as Fortune Magazine’s 50 World’s Greatest Leaders of 2016. Her investigative journalism has come at a heavy cost.
She is stalked and is wanted by the Malaysian authorities for exposing the greed and corruption of its leaders.
She may be a darling of the ordinary rakyat, but she is feared and villified by the Malaysian authorities.
Clare also founded the Sarawak Report and Radio Free Sarawak in 2010.
In the talk on 15 November 2016, at the London University, School of Oriental Studies (SOAS), she gives the inside story, on how she wrote the 1MDB scandal, which has shocked the world.
